Capabilities
We started manufacturing low volume Surface Mount circuits in 1996, initially
prototype work for an engineering company in the Midlands. We built their
prototypes and pre-production runs, offering high flexibility, a fast turn-around
and written post-production reports, highlighting any improvements we identified
during the manufacturing process. We still manufacture these boards for this
company today.
We built upon this initial success, taking on more low volume assembly, both direct from product owners and on a sub-contract basis from other manufacturers, wishing to use our high levels of capability and quality.
In January 2000 we purchased a pick and place machine and upgraded our reflow oven, giving us the facilities to place up to 4000 components per hour.
We have already used this set-up to good effect, recently one of our major customers needed 200 units to support his product launch. He experienced serious problems getting some components and this ended up leaving us only two days to build, program, assemble, test and pack these units. We did it for him.
